FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Our process is designed to be seamless and enjoyable:
1. Discovery Call – We begin with a short exploratory call to learn more about your
project and goals.
2. On-Site Consultation – Next, we meet in your space to dive deeper into details, explore
your style preferences, and understand how you want to live in your home.
3. Letter of Agreement – We then outline everything we discussed in a clear agreement,
so you know exactly what to expect throughout the process.
4. Design Development – Once the retainer is received, we begin crafting your design
presentation, pulling together all the details for review in our studio.
5. Proposal & Procurement – After you select what you’d like to move forward with, we’ll
provide a detailed proposal and manage all purchasing and orders on your behalf.
6. Installation – Finally, once everything has arrived, we coordinate delivery and complete
the installation, bringing your vision to life.
The timeline depends on the size and scope of your project. Typically:
● Consultation: We can usually schedule your on-site consultation within about a week or
two.
● Design Phase: For smaller projects, the design presentation can be ready within a few
weeks. Larger, full-scale renovations may take up to three months to develop a
complete presentation.
● Procurement: After the presentation, timing depends on vendor lead times, but most
items arrive at our receiving warehouse in about 8 - 12 weeks. We do our best to
coordinate orders so that everything arrives around the same time.
● Installation: Once all items are in, we schedule delivery and installation to bring the
project together.
We aim to make our fees and budgeting process as transparent as possible:
● Design Fees: At the start, we estimate the range of hours we expect your project will
require. Your retainer is based on the lower end of that range. As the project
progresses, we bill hourly. If it looks like we may exceed the original estimate, we’ll
reach out with an updated projection for your approval before moving forward.
● Budget Management: We use project management software to track all costs in real
time. This allows us to monitor spending closely and alert you if we’re approaching
your overall budget, so you always know where things stand.
Several elements determine the overall investment for your project, including:
● Scope of Work – A single-room refresh will have a very different budget than a
full-home renovation.
● Level of Customization – Custom furniture, bespoke finishes, and tailored details
naturally increase costs compared to ready-made options.
● Quality of Materials & Furnishings – Premium fabrics, artisan-made pieces, and
high-end fixtures carry higher price points.
● Size of the Space – Larger areas require more materials, furnishings, and time to
complete.
● Project Timeline – Expedited timelines may involve rush fees or limited vendor options.
● Vendor Lead Times & Market Conditions – Availability, shipping, and supply chain
factors can also affect pricing.
We’ll walk you through all of these considerations early on, so you’ll have a clear picture of
what to expect and how to prioritize your investment.
We curate furnishings from an exclusive network of trade-only vendors, bespoke ateliers,
and renowned artisans whose craftsmanship and quality are unmatched. Unlike retail stores, which we do not typically work with, these sources allow us to deliver pieces that are timeless, sophisticated, and tailored specifically to your home.
When it comes to your existing furniture, we carefully assess which pieces have the design
integrity to complement the new vision. In select cases, we can refinish or reupholster
cherished items, blending them seamlessly into a refined and cohesive design. Our goal is to ensure every element feels intentional, elevated, and enduring.
As a retainer client, you’ll have access to our exclusive trade pricing. Whenever vendor
policies allow, we pass along those savings to you—often offsetting, and sometimes even fully covering, your design fees. This way, you enjoy elevated, trade-only furnishings along with exceptional value that isn’t available through retail sources.
